Carbon Dymag Wheels

We have recently refurbished four carbon Dymag wheels; the lacquer was starting to degrade from time and damage through use. We stripped the old lacquer and recoated the wheels using Durepox clear epoxy followed with a coat of 2K acrylic and finally polished to high gloss. Call or email for a refurbishment quote.

Ginetta G55

Over the last few months we have been making plenums for Ginetta’s new Ford 3.7LTR G55 “One Make race car” The kit consists of two carbon fibre plenums for either side of the V6 block linked with a carbon fibre smooth internal surface Y-piece and a drive by wire OEM throttle.

Website, Shows and a new Brochure

Web changes

In the last blog we mentioned some upcoming changes to the website; these were designed to make the web store easier to use by allowing users to save and load shopping cart contents and provide better accuracy on stock levels of kits and products that have more than one component. We have now introduced these functions and have received positive feedback, we will continue to tweak and refine our website as time progresses.

New technical data

We pride ourselves on being able to answer any question asked about our products, so we are in the process of putting more technical information online available for download such as technical drawings of our products and flow data for our range of air filters, links to these new pages below.

New brochure

We have started designing a two new brochures, one will contain our lotus parts with the other showing our universal parts, the lotus brochure is expected to be published in mid August with the universal parts brochure following on later in the year. A sneak peak of the new design is shown below.

It’s been a busy few months here at Reverie, with Customer orders, new staff joining to increase our capacity due to demand and an overhaul of our webshop. We have also been working hard to get some new products ready to launch, but more about those shortly.

Projects

We recently fitted a custom trimmed Hockenheim 405 air box with Interlagos ram air cowl to John Danby racing’s Honda NSX V6. More images are available here

Website overhaul

Those of you who visit our website regularly may have noticed we’ve introduced a new Icon based navigation system which works with the old style menu on the left of the page; we wanted to make finding what you want easier, we hope that the new system will do just that. We have also added a revolving banner with a few of our best selling and featured products which from time to time will show new products and special offers.

Website Landing pages

As mentioned in the October newsletter we’ve introduced a landing page for most categories and sub categories; this contains background information about the products in that category and links to areas such as the gallery and technical data sheets. We are also working to improve product images and the more information text giving more detail and accurate information.

Website Translate function

We’ve improved our translate function for our customers around the globe. The translate tool is embedded into each page and can be found on the left hand side of the website just below the search function, we’ve also added the same tool to our blog to help us give you the information you need.

Website Shipping costs

Our shipping system was getting to be out of date and was occasionally quoting unreasonably high prices; this has now been reworked to give accurate shipping costs for all of our products. We have also negotiated a new tariff with our courier and we are passing the savings on to you, our valued customers.

Website Technical information

We’ve added new pages to our technical section and put some new content on the old ones. You can now find guides showing dimensions for our range of air boxes, plenums and seats. We’ve just finished a technical page for our air filters; there you will find graphs and air flow data for unfitted filters and filters in remote filter canister.

Website Future changes

We are in the development stage of two new features for our website, the first is a save basket function, allowing you to save an order and return to pay later which is ideal for dealers wishing to order in large batches to minimise costs.

In addition to our recent full stock take we are also introducing a nifty function into the back end of our stock management which will check to see if product components are available and display stock accordingly giving a much more accurate stock level.

Zolder Plenums rebranded to Fontana Plenums

We’ve rebranded our Zolder plenums to Fontana plenums as the old name caused confusion between plenums and air boxes. But don’t worry they’re still the same great product as before. Since our last newsletter we have added two more variants to our range of plenums, the 65 X, a bottom feed slim plenum and the 112 X a deep centre feed plenum.

Elise and Exige S2 door cards and Centre Tunnels

Due to popular demand we have started developing replacement door cards for Elise and Exige S2, and centre tunnels for K-series & Toyota 111R powered Elise and Exige S2. These will be direct replacements for the OEM parts. These parts are available to pre order now. Images should be uploaded within the next two weeks.

V6 & V8 Hockenheim 405 Air Box - New Filter

Currently customers purchasing our V6 & V8 air boxes have had the opportunities to fit a pair of dome ITG internal elements, remote filter canisters or K&N Panel filters. Now working closely with ITG we have released a new bespoke to reverie single large dome internal element. This has the advantage of fitting to engines where the trumpet banks would be too close together to run two separate domes or where the height does not allow the use of side mounted K&N panel elements in the feed cowls.

Rally 320 Flat bottom steering wheels

The Rally 320 Steering wheel has been part of our product line up for some time now but we are always looking for ways to improve and refine our products. We are adding the option to include a MoTeC SLM eight LED shift light module embedded into the top of the wheel. The LEDs are fully independent and programmable. The SLM works in conjunction with MoTeC ECUs, and Dash Loggers, and the ACL via a CAN connection. Any of the ADL2, SDL, M400, M600, M800, M880 or ACL MoTeC devices. This option is available to pre order now.

New 4 carbon fibre cylinder inlet plenums

After lots of hard work we have just finished productionising our first two autoclaved universal fit 4 cyl carbon fibre inlet plenums.

Reverie have made plenums for lemans race car engines for the last 4 years and we decided it was time to offer the aftermarket specialist engine builder a universal plenum that could be used for boosted (to 3 bar) or N/A applications.

Two depths of plenum are available 65mm deep and 112mm deep.

Both feature a blind stainless steel base plate insert moulded in, and fit the same 2mm or 4mm alloy un-drilled back plate and both are sealed by a nitrile gasket with m5 cap heads.

We have also worked closely with John Goddard from ATPower to make the plenums work with their S2000 throttle and there range of adaptable inlet trumpets and runners.

The plenums are available now from reverie or our dealer network, please speak to ATPower on prices for the Throttle and runners.

Terry's Pantera V8 Race car

Some sweet pictures sent in to us from Terry Jackson with his awesome Pantera V8 race car taken by him at his first serious race meeting at Donnington circuit (uk). The car is an absolute monster and this is Terrys first season as a driver in a very intimidating car. Luckily for him he has a reverie front splitter and rear wing on the car. Plus loads of engineering time and efforts on the brakes, suspension and that monster engine from MDV engineering and Dave @ Mountune.

Reverie is Moving Premises
We will be moving our registered address and head office / manufacturing from January 4th 2010 to purchased larger, purpose fitted premises.
All operations will totally cease at our current address where we have traded for the last 9 years as of January 31st 2010.
Accounts and sales office staff to move as of January 4th 2010 9.00am.
Manufacturing will re commence at the new site as of January 11th 2010 8.00am.

Office phone lines will be shut from Dec 24th 5.00pm till January 4th 9.00am.

Reverie MD Simon Farren attended the LOT LeMans Europe race this year. After two amazing days of racing Simon presented the top three trophies to the winners. Also congratulations to Dave Harvey in his modified 340R for two overall 3rd places and two 1st in class finishes!

New Ultima GTR / Can-AM Parts
A customer in Costa Rica has recently fitted a Reverie XMC Twin Skin Seat, Rally 330 Steering Wheel and a Universal Fit Rear Diffuser. Reverie is also looking to develop positive wheel arch louvres for this exciting sports car in the near future.

Marcos LM600 Road Project
Reverie recently modified a road going Marcos LM600. Adding positive front and rear wheel arch louvres, canards, a rear wing and a roof scoop to the customer specifications.

Lotus Exige S2 Rear Tailgate
They're out there! The first shipment of Exige tailgates has been produced. They improve air flow and air intake over the intercooler and whole engine bay.

Pantera GTS V8, Making a Classic Breathe
Reverie has breathed new life into a classic sports car with a custom airbox for a Pantera GTS V8 with a Ford V8 on Webber 48IDA carburettors. The airbox consists of a modified Hockenheim V12 605 airbox with the base pan 10mm over the trumpets with four 75mm top oval snorkels feeding two internal K&N panel filters. The GTS also gets other Reverie goodies.

New Lotus Exige Front Spoilers

Reverie has developed a new O.E style simple Exige front spoiler. It simply bolts on and you are ready for more front end down force! Reverie uses its wind tunnel testing experience and expertise when designing and developing new aerodynamic parts. Find the part here.

New Race Winning Marine Catamaran Foils

Reverie has started making high performance foils for catamarans too. They have been fitted to winning boats and are still being constantly developed and improved. Find foils here.

Flight Steering Wheels Are Back

Back by popular demand are the 280mm & 315mm flight steering wheels. It is made to the same exact standards as our FIA tested Rally 330mm steering wheels as used by the Citroen WRC team resulting in light and strong steering wheels that reduce inertia and are considerably lighter than their GRP/Alloy counterparts made elsewhere.
We now also supply steering wheels to the rib/sports boats/marine markets. Find Flight steering wheels here.

New FIA Approved XRC Seats Trimmed in Leather

FIA approved and comfortable. That's the new XRC Trimmed seats by Reverie. This side mounted seat is available with or without the wrap around head protection. They come in stylish black Nappa leather (as used by Porsche) with carbon leather inserts and slots for 4, 5 or 6 point harnesses. Supreme stiffness and lightweight due to our unique monocoque construction. Find XRC seats here.

New Airboxes

New Zolder 65 & 112 in left and right hand versions to fit Pipercross PX600 black plates or Reverie's own back plates in flat alloy or carbon fibre and 30mm or 60mm deep carbon fibre back plates. The airboxes feature three quarter turn fixings to secure the airbox to the back plate of your choice.
New Interlagos 425 'X' & 'Y' internally filtered airboxes with 100mm left hand or right hand air feed.
New 20mm fuel rail spacer backplate to suit Silverstone left hand or right hand airboxes. Ideal if you are running Jenvey throttle bodies or similar configurations where you need fuel rail space or extra internal trumpet clearance. Zolder Airboxes.

Duratec Carbon Cam Covers

New Duratec carbon fibre low height cam covers. Both cam chambers are the same low height as no internal oil breather baffle. Coming soon for the dry sump in addition to the current standard height wet and dry sump options.
